Look What I'm Turning Into - UGH!

So, today I FINALLY started knitting Baby J's blankie. I haven't knitted in over a year, and I never was very good at it. Just good enough to make a few scarves for christmas gifts. So even though this blanket isn't complicated, it's a much larger undertaking than a scarf. Madison wanted to play with the yarn - I think that must be instinctual. But after a couple of "NO"'s he just sat by my side & watched for a while & then tried to snuggle up as close as he possibly could.

I'm trying out this knitting board for the first time. The wine color is just for practice since I'd never used the board before. I think I like it for things like blankets or scarves because my stitches end up more even then with needles. I'm sure with a little practice I could do other things on it, but it's a bit restrictive because the pins & the boards can only be moved "so" big, or "so" small. Sorry the pic is out of focus - I took used my camera phone because my camera battery was dead.

So apparently, I'm turning into the stereotypical 30-something single "spinster" that knits and has a cat...sick & wrong!
