Uuuuuuh, now what?

So now that I've taken a few minutes to sit down & post, I'm thinking....uuuuuuuuuuh, what do I even have to write about. I need to keep a little list of things I want to post about when I have time.
Let's see. I guess this isn't really a journal, so I'm not going to talk about things that are too personal, but I will say frankly it's been an interesting few months for my family (parents/siblings). It's so easy to look at people & think they have an easy life...or something...but you really never know what's going on that you don't know about. I'm just grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even people who are wavering in their faith can have moments when they think "hmmm, there might be something to this God thing. Maybe someone is looking out for me". Hopefully it continues with a snowball effect. I'm grateful for eternal families!

On another note, I finally took Madison to the pet groomers. He got a bunch of furballs shaved off. He has long hair & doesn't like to be brushed, so it's a bad combination. He had big chunks of knotted fur under his cat equivalent to armpits & groin area. Now he's all pretty & I'm trying my best to brush him when he's asleep since that's about the only time he'll let me do it. I felt so bad for him though. He trusts me & so he got in his cat carrier, no problem & all the way there I talked to him & reassured him he was ok & that he was a "good boy"....but as soon as we got to the groomers, & he smelled all the other animals, he freaked out & cowered in the back of his carrier. The look in his eyes was pitiful. I was a bit worried he would just go crazy & scratch/bite whoever he came in contact with, but they said he was good....probably because he was too scared to be aggressive. When I got him home he had to smell the entire house before he calmed down. He smelled his litter box numerous times & once he went in it, I new he'd be ok & I went back to work. I've got a pretty good boss that lets me do stuff like that ;-)

Baby J's blanket is looking good. I'll have to post a pic when I'm done. I decided against the expensive yarn until I feel like I really know what I'm doing (I've only ever knitted scarves before). The yarn I'm using is soft, but not as soft as I wanted. But it's not baby colors, so that's good. I called my sister & we decided on a navy & a medium country blue. Then I'll do the whip stitching of the pieces in brown I think it will look nice. the color choices were limited, but at least it's not baby blue, green or yellow!

Hey, speaking of Madison, I think today is the 1 yr anniversary of when I got him from the humane society - since I don't know his real birthday, I guess this is it.
Happy 2nd birthday Madison!
(ok, I'm gagging myself with how pathetically lame that sounds - wishing my cat a happy birthday?! )

There was a sale on plane tickets from slc to sfo for this weekend on delta. I really wanted to go, but with my sister being SO prego, it's not like we could go have fun around town. She's big, tired & uncomfortable. She's even sleeping in her rocking chair at night. Poor thing! I called her & said "hey, if I come to visit you this weekend, will you have the baby?" She just laughed :-) Luckily I'm planning on going 3 weeks after the baby's born (hubby has the 1st week alone with wife & baby, grandma H will be there week 2 & baby J's Favorite Aunt (that's me!) gets week 3).
