Wow I had a crazy dream last night. The bits & pieces I remember involve being in a south american country helping a woman give birth. It was a girl & when I cut the umbilical cord it was thread-like. I remember thinking, THIS is NOT what they are supposed to look like. Also part of my dream involved a guy whose profile I looked at last night on ldslinkup. Kinda funny. Apparently we knew each other pretty well, but weren't dating. throughout the course of the dream though we apparently decided we liked each other more than just as friends & we found every moment we could to touch hands or turn a glance into a loving look for as long as possible. It sounds silly, but you know how dreams are weird. I guess we didn't want people to know we liked each other---I think we worked together or something. It was a little ALIAS-esque (as in the TV show with Jennifer Garner & Michael "hottie" Vartan).
I talked to my sister today, she's sounding much less stressed. I'm sure it's due to Baby J sleeping through the night (WOW!) and our mom arrived this morning. She want's me to fly out next week, but it's super expensive on such short notice. I'll see what I can do because of course I want to. I'm also going on the 14th for a week. They'll be here over labor day to bless Baby J & then I have a ticket to go visit again in October. They're also planning on coming out after christmas (since they'll be at T's family's house for Christmas). so I'll see him 5 times in 6 months - that's not too bad. I do miss visiting friends in AZ since all my travel $ & time is going to San Francisco. I'd like to plan a trip down to AZ in the early spring next year. We'll see.
This next week I've got to wean Madison from sleeping on my suitcase. (I have a huge room with no storage, so it's just sitting in the corner, totally out of the way, but recently he's taken up residency on it) He's going to be a bit upset when I pack it up & take off with his "bed' I think I'll put a blanket on top of it for a couple days & then move the suitcase & put his cat bed under the blanket & maybe he'll sleep on it for once (I bought this pet bed months ago, hoping he'd sleep on it instead of my bed, but he never has & now he's not on my bed, but he's on my suitcase - wierdo!)
Last night I ate at Miramar. It's this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant across from Walmart on 13th south. I've been there once before & loved it. But last night solidified that it is the best Mexican food I've had in SLC. WOW! I wanted to finish everything on my plate, but I was SO full, so I stopped at about 3/4 gone. Seriously, I can't wait to go back. I've had their chile verde burritos & their tostada's. The beef on the tostada was fantastic, it was shreaded beef with a deliciously spicy, rich, deep tomato salsa type flavor to it. The chile verde was to die for! ...and it was actually green, unlike some chile verde I've had that is pink or brown or some wierd un-verde color.
