About a month ago I set up google analytics so I could see how many people were reading my blog. I totally forgot about it until the other day. It appeared that 55 people had read my blog. A few days had up to 10 people reading it. WOW, I really haven't told many people about it, but I did post a link on my mission web page and on my profile at ldslinkup.
Well, after realizing I messed up when filtering out my own IP address, I realized there had only been a few visitors to my blog.....the rest were me. Oh well. If I wanted lots of people reading it, I'd let more people know about it.
My sister, her prego belly & her husband came for the weekend. It was so wonderful to see them. Friday we went to Park City & did a little shopping at the outlet mall. We had a baby shower on Saturday & went to Cafe Rio for dinner. yum! (although I wish they had a mango chicken salad like Costa Vida) . Since her b-day is in 2 weeks, we also kind of celebrated her b-day. We had cake, but we'll mail her presents later. Mostly we just had a great time hanging out, talking, feeling the "Festus" kick (my brother's nickname for the baby at Christmas, before we knew it was a boy. Now he calls him "AJ" since they're naming him Jackson & Andy wants them to name him Andrew Jackson). They left this afternoon because 1. tickets were cheaper today than tomorrow, and 2. they're moving next weekend & wanted to spend tomorrow packing as much as possible.
The baby shower was fun. She'll probably post some pics on her blog, so if you're interested, you can check them out there in a few days. We made some yummy food (chicken salad on croissants, 7 layer bars, lemon squares, veggie tray, & my now famous chocolate ganache dipped cream puffs.)
Also, my aunt Meg came over on Saturday after the baby shower & as she was leaving she let the cat out. He had a quite a bit of excitement as he ran from us, ran 1/2 way up the tree & all around the yard until I grabbed his tail as he was exploring between my car & trees/bushes. Luckily he wasn't running very fast at that point, so as soon as I had a hold of it I was able to grab his neck & body so I had a good grasp on him & so he wouldn't bite me. poor kitty! He spend the rest of the afternoon trying to get out the door. It makes me feel bad that I don't let him out. Running around like that seemed like so much fun for him. BUT, I've had too many cats get run over, hurt in fights with other cats, get diseases, etc. So this one is an inside cat.
