Writing, San Francisco & new drivers license

I saw this quote on a friends blog & thought it was great.

"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing".
That quote also makes me want to read Benjamin Franklin's Silence Dogood letters

For the past few years I've thought about writing something and have even had a few ideas. In addition to doing something worth writing (about) I really should start writing. I think the ironic part of that is I always HATED writing in school. English was my absolute least favorite subject. I guess when you're writing about something you want to write about & you don't have a deadline or specific criteria, it's a whole different ball game. I bet once I got started, the "I'm not sure where to go with this idea" will turn into something I never would have imagined had I not started writing. Now I just have to decide which idea to start with. Probably the one of the ones that I know the most about vs ones that are more concept with no where to go because I have no characters, just a "situation".

I'm not sure when I'll post again. I'll be in San Francisco for the next week. CAN'T WAIT!!! I'll try to post pics of Baby J while I'm there (since my sister hasn't done it in a while on her blog).

Tomorrow is going to be crazy! Tons of stuff to do for work, hair cut, laundry, pack & I TOTALLY FORGOT, but my drivers license expires tomorrow UGH! so I have to go renew it. I'm probably one of the last people to still have the non digital drivers license. I had to get a new license when I got home from my mission because mine had been stolen while in NYC (surprise). & then, I was able to renew on line, so this license design they're using is the 2nd new one they've had since I got mine...I skipped a whole "generation" of Utah drivers license's. Oh well, I don't really care, it's just funny when people ask me for my license & comment on how old it is. I REALLY wish I still had my OHIO license as a keepsake or something. (I also wish I had my original, non digital, BYU id - but the guy took it from me & I didn't think to ask to keep it like most of my friends did...I think I was still so angry from the idiot girl at the door who told me I had to go change because my shorts were too short....that's another story!) I still have my AZ license, which is pretty cool looking. I'm not sure if it's still valid though because they know I moved. Unlike UT...when I moved to AZ, I didn't tell UT...I figured AZ would notify UT that they had issued me an AZ license which would then void my UT license....nope. When I moved back, I called the drivers license division here in UT & asked if my license was still valid & in addition to asking me why I thought it wouldn't be valid, they told me it was still valid. anyway, tomorrow I get a new one. UGH! SO much to do tomorrow!!!

Good night.
BTW, if you're into Digital Scrapbooking, check out my friend Tangie's site...she's getting ready to open a digital scrapbooking store, but currently she has a bunch of freebies available.
