Plus, I think Kiva is a great non profit organization. They/you provide micro loans to people around the world. The premise is similar to the Perpetual Education Fund, but for businesses. Money is loaned to the person/group, they spend it to grow their business and gradually pay the loan back. So, yes, if you donate $25, you should get your $25 back (although there is always a risk that they won't pay the loan back). You can pick exactly who you want to lend your money too, and you can also donate to kiva in order to keep them running strong (if you lend someone money, they get all of the money - kiva runs off of donations and most likely interest on the loans).
