I Heart Tim Tams (and Hugh Jackman)

So thanks to having an uncle who is a Pepperidge Farm distributor, my surprise Christmas gift to my family (especially Ang) was ruined. I was planning a trip down to World Market to buy Tim Tams - good thing I didn't go on Wednesday, like I almost did.

Pepperidge Farm is importing Arnott's Tim Tam cookies & distributing them under the Pepperidge Farm label via Target.

Seriously, if you haven't tried these amazing cookies - stop reading this right now. RUN to your nearest Target (or get in your car & drive) and buy some. You'll probably want 2 packages, because once you finish one package, you're going to wish you had more.

What are these Tim Tam thingys you ask? Well they are practically the national cookie of Australia (did anyone see Hugh Jackman The Sexiest Man Alive on Oprah when he was promoting his movie Australia? (He brought Tim Tams for the audience)

"Beneath a smooth layer of irresistible chocolate fudge, between two layers of crispy biscuits, a mouthwatering layer of chocolate crème awaits."

After you get yourself a package or 2, eat a cookie & enjoy it just as it is. Then, do a Tim Tam Slam (watch the video for instructions) -you don't need coffee - just use hot chocolate or tea. Check out this site for recipes you can make with tim tams...tim tam cheesecake?!...yummmm

Pepperidge Farm says they'll only be selling tim tams for a limited time (WHAT?!?) so I think everyone needs to 1. email Pepperidge Farm & tell them to keep selling tim tams in the US FOREVER! 2. Buy lots of Tim Tams so Target & Pepperidge Farms will realize they sell well & they'll decide to keep selling them forever :-)

(you may want to click on that pic of Hugh in the hat)

  1. OK so I clicked on your picture of the guy in the Brown hat....I thought I was going to get like a Tim Tam web site, but a full size picture of Hugh made me question my manliness...I tried not to look too long. He may end up on my desk top not quiet sure...lets not talk about this anymore.

I can't wait to see Australia.

  3. We ran to our local Target last night. They were on sale, so of course we had to get one of each flavor. And maybe they are already gone. mmmmmmmm......

  7. Dang it! Went to Target in Orem and all the Tim Tams (chocolate and caramel) were sold out. You haven't been down to UT Valley lately have you?

I've never tasted a Tim Tam and now I will probably obsessively check Target until they (hopefully) get a new shipment.

  9. okay so i'm a looser with the worst memory ever or something? yesterday i was in Target and staring at this huge tim tam display thinking to myself "WHY" does this sound so familiar, I had this irresistible urge to by the lot because I knew SOMEONE wanted them.......then i just blew if off in the next second and kept shopping. In my defense however...dave read your blog entry to me and I didn't really put two and two together...yeah he reads me blog entries while i work LOL. I'm pathetic.

  10. Funny. Oh well, lucky for you, if you really want to try them, you're a frequent Target shopper :-)

And how did I not notice I spelled Hugh "Jugh" in the post title? Thanks Aaron, no it wasn't on purpose.
