Stupid, or a True Blue Fan?

don't answer that ;-)

So on Saturday I went to the University of Utah football game with Andy, Jessi and my dad.
I struggled with cheering for the Utes, but it's not like I'm a UNLV fan either.  I don't have anything against UNLV, but there was no reason to cheer for them - especially if I wanted to survive.  So I decided I'll cheer for the U so they'll hopefully be undefeated when BYU plays them (also hopefully undefeated!)

We all took sweatshirts/long sleeve t-shirts to put on if it got chilly.  My dad took a BYU shirt and I took a BYU sweatshirt.  - it's not like I have a U sweatshirt.  Ok, so I could have taken a jacket, but I didn't.  I just carried it to the game & sat on it so the bench wasn't so hard.  No big deal.  The only person to comment on it was the lady selling trax tickets.  I really doubted that it would get cold enough to put my sweatshirt on, but...it did.  And there weren't any problems.  Andy said my dad and I were really lucky.  I said, we have to prepare the people around us for the November 22nd game vs BYU.  If they see us wearing BYU apparel throughout the season - even though we're cheering for the U, it won't be a surprise when we're cheering for BYU Nov 22nd.  And I won't feel so awkward cheering for BYU because I'll know the people around me knew this was coming.

So, although I'll be going to U games this year... and actually rooting for them...come November 22nd, Rise And Shout, The Cougar Fan Will Come Out!

  1. If you ever need to defend yourself during a UTE game just remeber Head, Shoulders Knees, and Toes from Primary but make sure to attack the other guys HSK&T.
