LDS General Conference

So whenever someone asks "what did you think of conference" or " how was conference" or something to that effect, I seriously have to hold back from saying "that is the dumbest question ever!" Do you really expect any other answer besides 'it was great/fantastic/wonderful' or something to that effect?

So yesterday after the afternoon session, we're all sitting around the table (inc. grandpa, Lis & Bobby), and my mom says "so what did you all think of conference?" I HAD to say it.....so I said "It sucked. It was the worst conference ever!" I think there was a split second of everyone gasping & then they busted out laughing. Then I added "what did you expect us to say?...of course everyone is going to say 'it was wonderful, loved it etc'". So then she rephrased it to "what was your favorite talk. I was tempted to say something like "the one on pornography, cuz I REALLY needed that" but I figured she wasn't in the mood for any more sarcasm. LOL!

In all seriousness, it was a great conference. But, they all are. The best thing about conference, is that it is truly like reading the scriptures or receiving an answer to prayer, in that you learn through the spirit whatever it is you need to learn. So although everyone might have loved one particular talk, they probably loved it for very different, personal reasons. The spirit is amazing! & The Gospel is true!!!!
