2 posts in one day? maybe my blogging dry spell is over (but I won't hold my breath for the next post).
I just thought I'd publicly give 2 thumbs up to Lands' End's customer service. I placed an order a few days ago and today I saw that the swimming suit & pareo I bought had gone on sale...so I found out their price adjustment policy is 14 days. I emailed them and they told me my refund would be $36.20 I looked at the number and thought, that's not right. How in the world did they come up with that number. I tried a couple of different ways to figure it out ... to no avail (my aspirations to become a high school math teacher pay off sometimes ... ok, just kidding, it was simple math that any 4th grader could have done.)
So, I emailed them back and asked them how they came up with that amount & showed them how I arrived at the amount I came up with, and within the hour I received a response apologizing for their mistake and telling me they would refund the difference between their wrong amount and the right amount (my math was right).
To top it off, all of this occurred in less than 2 hours. They're quick. I've emailed some .com retailers and not received a response for 2 days (can you say frustrating?!).
Way to go Lands' End customer service. I can honestly say it makes me want to do business with them again, because I know if there's ever a problem, they'll make it right. (although they wouldn't honor my request to use a coupon code for an additional $10 off. oh well, I tried. Now I just hope I like what I bought and they fit.)
