Cheedle (chee' dul) - n. The residue left on one's fingertips after consuming a bag of Cheetos.I'm not sure why those 2 stuck in our vocabulary, because there are quite a few of the other sniglets that are just as good or better.
Vacation Elbow (vay kay' shun el' bo) - n. A condition that suddenly develops in a father's arm during a vacation trip that allowed him to reach out and slap you from incredible distances.
Well, Andrew came up with a great term that totally qualifies as a sniglet in my book...
Travel-tard
Sorry, I know it's completely un-PC, and may be offensive to some, but it made me laugh so hard, I'm still laughing at it. Mostly because I've encountered many a travel-tard in my travels.
Maybe I should change it to "travel-challenged".....although it's just not as catchy.
I will spare you my definition, as I don't want to inadvertently offend someone that exhibits any of the symptoms while traveling. (keep in mind this does not relate to how often you travel, but how good your travel skills are.) And, if you are travel-savvy, you probably know exactly what Andrew meant when he coined the term.

totally laughing my head off!!!! LOVE IT! I'm going to start using it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this title I thought it said singlet.... not a very good image. haha
ReplyDelete~Tasha
I just ate Cheetos at the ballpark with Aaron, Tasha and Tim last night. By-the-way, Aaron was given the honor of being named Coach of the Year-- we're so proud of him giving back to Babe Ruth Baseball. He's given up a lot to coach the past few months. Anyway, I had orange cheedle on my fingertips... can't eat them without remembering this sniglet.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I've seen my fair share of travel-tards. I'm pretty sure I fell into that category on my first cruise!
