In August, I will be an Aunt for the 2nd time. Thanks Angela & Tommy :-) I can't wait for baby Sadie to arrive!This past weekend my friend Tangie & her talented Artist friend Amy came to SLC for the church's 8th International Art Competition. Amy entered her Art piece called Sanctification. I don't know why it's vertical on the website, because it's hanging horizontal in the gallery.
It is a beautiful piece worth viewing in person if you can. You'll see everything from paintings, to wood carvings, stained glass, quilts, and even one piece drawn with a red gel pen (it's pretty amazing!) The Art Exhibit is open to the public at the Conference Center. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time, because in addition to looking at all of the Art in the Art Exhibit, if you haven't taken a tour of the conference center, you really should. There is a lot of other art throughout the building, the gardens on the roof, water fountains & waterfalls, and if you have only seen the inside of the ginormous room (what do you call that room? the auditorium?) on TV at conference time, you should see it in person.
